Two-Headed Giant (2HG) Commander is a 2v2 multiplayer variant of Magic: The Gathering where two players form a team against an opposing two-player team, combining their resources and turns. Shared Life: Each team starts with a 60-point shared life total. Life gain or life loss affects the team's shared total Loss Conditions: A team loses if their shared life total drops to 0 or less, if a team accumulates 15+ or 20+ poison counters (depending on local/house rules), or if a team member cannot draw a card. Commander Damage: Calculated individually per player (21+ damage from a single opposing commander) rather than shared across the team Simultaneous Turns: Teammates take their turn phases (untap, upkeep, draw, main phase, combat) at the exact same time Separate Resources: Players do not share hands, libraries, or mana pools. The word "you" on a card still refers strictly to the individual player. Communication: Teammates are allowed to freely discuss strategy, review each other's hands, and coordinate plays.
