Local Magic events, in your Discord.

Add PodQueue to your server and anyone there can type /events to see what's on nearby: cEDH and Commander nights, RCQs, prereleases. Times, stores, distance, and a link to sign up.

  • Free
  • Can't read your messages
  • Remove it any time

Two commands.

PodQueue only answers when someone uses one of them.

  • /eventsAnyone

Lists up to 8 events from PodQueue and the Wizards Store & Event Locator, grouped by day, with a link to see the rest on PodQueue. The reply is posted in the channel so everyone sees it.

    near
A city, neighbourhood or ZIP code. Optional once the server has a default.
    radius
    10, 25, 50 or 100 mi (15, 40, 80 or 160 km). Default is the server's, else 25 mi.
    format
cEDH, Commander, Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper and more. Default is the server's, else any format.
    when
This week, this weekend or the next 30 days. Default this week.
  • /setupManage Server only

Sets this server's default area, and optionally a format and radius, so /events works on its own. With no options it shows what's set. Only the person who runs it sees the reply.

    area
The town or ZIP code /events searches by default.
    format
The format shown by default, or any format.
    radius
How far to look by default.

Set up in a minute.

  1. Add PodQueue

Press Add to Discord, pick your server and authorize. You need Manage Server on that server.

  2. Set your area

Run /setup area:Phoenix. Add a format if your server is about one, like cEDH. This step is optional.

  3. Type /events

Anyone in the server gets the week's events nearby. Add near: to look somewhere else.

Questions server owners ask.

What can PodQueue see in my server?
Only the commands people send it. It is added with the commands permission alone: it can't read messages, see your member list, join voice or post on its own. Discord sends PodQueue a command, PodQueue answers it, and that's all.
What does PodQueue store?
Your server's id and the defaults set with /setup: the area, format and radius. It doesn't keep who set them. For /events it keeps a count per person for about a minute to stop floods, and nothing else. No messages, no member lists. See the privacy policy.
Who can change the server's defaults?
People with Manage Server. Discord hides /setup from everyone else. You can change who sees it in Server Settings, under Integrations.
Which events show up?
The same events as PodQueue's events page: events run on PodQueue and events imported from the Wizards Store & Event Locator, which are marked Wizards event. See the events page.
Miles or kilometres?
Each person sees replies in their own Discord language: miles for English (US and UK), kilometres for most others, and 12-hour times for English (US) only. The radius choices follow the same language.
Does it cost anything?
No.
How do I remove it?
In Discord, open Server Settings, then Integrations, choose PodQueue and press Remove. Its commands disappear straight away. Your server's defaults are deleted if you ask us, and automatically after 90 days with no commands.
