Imagine walking into a room, getting handed six unopened booster packs, and being told: "Go ahead, rip these open and make a deck out of whatever you find inside!"
That is exactly what a Sealed Deck tournament is. It is one of the most popular and beginner-friendly ways to play Magic: The Gathering because you do not need to bring any of your own cards. Everyone starts on a completely level playing field with a brand-new pool of cards.
Here is exactly how it works in plain English:
1. Opening Your Packs
You crack open your six packs. This gives you roughly 84 to 90 random cards.
2. Build a 40 card deck, lands provided at event.
3. Play games.
