Mox Chandler Star Trek Beginner/Casual Prerelease

Beginner/Casual Prerelease is exactly what it sounds like: a way for less experienced players to learn how to play the Sealed/Prerelease format with less stress than a normal prerelease event. As such, there are some tweaks to the format to make it kinder to newer players and reward participation more so than winning. Players in this event will each receive a Star Trek prerelease kit containing six play boosters, a foil rare promo card, and a spindown life counter die. Players will then open their kits to build 40-card minimum decks. Staff will be on hand to assist with deck building. Players will then play three rounds of Swiss, best of three each round. At the end of the event, each player will receive an additional Star Trek booster! Players in this event will learn important skills such as how to build a Sealed deck, how to navigate Swiss rounds on a clock, and how to operate the Magic Companion app in a tournament setting.
